05 - 1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans, drained
06 - 1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained
07 - 1 can (15 ounces) petite diced tomatoes with juices
08 - 1 can (15 ounces) pumpkin purée

16 - 1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper

# Preparation Steps:

01 - Mince the garlic and dice the yellow onion. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat and sauté garlic and onions until tender, about 5 minutes.
02 - Add ground beef to the pot and cook until browned and fully cooked through, breaking it apart as it cooks.
03 - Incorporate drained kidney beans, drained black beans, diced tomatoes with juices, pumpkin purée, tomato paste, water, chili powder, smoked paprika, ground cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Stir thoroughly to combine.
04 - Cover the pot with a lid and bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat. Stir occasionally and allow to simmer gently for 30 minutes to develop flavors.
05 - Taste the chili and adjust salt if needed. Serve hot with optional toppings such as sour cream, cheese, green onion, or corn chips.
