Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until well browned, breaking up meat as it cooks. Drain excess fat.

Stir in taco seasoning and add water according to the seasoning packet instructions. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until liquid is mostly absorbed and beef is evenly seasoned.

Cook rice following package directions, using water or chicken broth. For additional flavor, add a pinch of ground cumin to the cooking liquid. Fluff cooked rice with a fork.

Divide the cooked rice among individual serving bowls. Top each with a generous scoop of seasoned taco beef.

Layer shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, black beans, corn, shredded cheese, and any other desired toppings over the beef.

Sprinkle a handful of lightly crushed nacho cheese Doritos over each bowl just before serving to add crunchy texture.
